High School Placement

High School Placement | Portrait of a Graduate

Choosing a high school can seem like a daunting process, but the staff at St. Luke’s makes every effort to help our 8th grade students and their families select a high school and make a smooth transition.  In September, Admission Directors from area high schools come to campus to meet members of our 8th grade class and their families at High School Forum Night.  These recruiting schools include Baton Rouge High, Episcopal, Runnels, Dunham, Catholic High, St. Michael’s, and Parkview.  Admission Directors, staff and students from these schools answer questions about curriculum, enrichment classes, extracurricular activities and the admission process.  We also host recent St. Luke’s graduates for a question and answer session with our current 8th graders.

Each year our graduates are overwhelmingly admitted to the school of their choices include:

Episcopal High School
Baton Rouge Magnet High School
Catholic High School
Lee Magnet High School
McKinley High School
Parkview Baptist High School
Runnels High School
St. Joseph’s Academy
St. Michael the Archangel High School
The Dunham School
